[Incheon] Finding people at risk of dying alone and customizing care...job support

Incheon City has set up an implementation plan to find people at risk of dying alone and support customized care or jobs.

The plan consists of 12 unit tasks and 45 detailed projects that systematically manage the risk group of loneliness and strengthen the social network.

It also includes supporting various services and establishing a prevention system for each life cycle.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government plans to designate four people in charge of preventing lonely deaths to strengthen their professionalism and run a social network formation program that encourages people at risk to participate in outside activities such as meetings and cultural life.

In particular, among those at risk of dying alone, we plan to provide customized care and jobs to the elderly and provide lifelong education and daily care services to the middle-aged.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's survey, the number of deaths from loneliness in Incheon continued to decrease to 248 in 2021, 215 in 2022, and 208 in 2023.
