A video of a cleaning company cleaning apartments occupied by a flock of pigeons has become a hot topic online.

On the 6th, the YouTube channel Survival posted a video titled "In short, Korea's all-time cleaning site." The video became a hot topic, exceeding 10 million views on social media (SNS) such as Instagram.

The house in the video was used as an accommodation for a company in the past, and became empty when an employee who lived there resigned two years ago, and in the meantime, a group of pigeons gathered through a broken window occupied it.

The cleaning team said the house was found downstairs after complaints were raised that "a lot of bugs are coming out," leading to a cleaning request.

As soon as the front door was opened, the whole house was covered with pigeon by-products such as soil, feathers, and excrement. Dozens of pigeons flapped their wings, scattered feathers and dust everywhere, and pigeon carcasses and eggs were found throughout the house.

Workers wore quarantine suits and started cleaning after kicking out all the pigeons. With a shovel, pigeon droppings and feathers were scooped out and transferred to a bag, and the cobwebs attached to the ceiling were also cleaned.

The cleaning team said it left 40 bags of pigeon waste to a waste engineer. He added that the house is expected to be remodeled after removing all toilets, wallpaper, washbasins, and floorboards.
