A suspended prison sentence has been given to a man in his 30s who entered the home of an Internet broadcaster in his 20s and assaulted him.
The Seoul Central District Court sentenced A, who was handed over to trial in custody on charges of residential invasion, to one and a half years in prison and suspended for three years, and ordered three years of probation and a ban on access within 100m from the victim.
The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying that the nature of the crime is not good, such as assaulting and stalking victims who have already broken up, and that punishment commensurate with responsibility is inevitable.
Earlier in August last year, A was put on trial on charges of forcibly pushing the woman into the room when the door opened while waiting in front of the victim's house.
