Democratic Party, President Yoon, and Yoon Sang-hyun are accused of fraudulent election campaigns.

In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea filed a complaint with the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters against President Yoon Suk Yeol and lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun, the People's Power, for fraudulent election campaigns under the Public Official Election Act and obstruction of business under the Criminal Act.

The Democratic Party's "Myeong Tae-kyun Gate Fact-Finding Team" said at a press conference at the National Assembly, "The intervention of President Yoon, First Lady Kim Gun-hee, and Representative Yoon in the nomination was found to be true through a mobile phone submitted by Myung Tae-kyun."

The investigation team claimed that President Yoon used his election status in May 2022 to exert undue influence on the election, and lawmaker Yoon, who was the chairman of the nomination management committee, participated in the decision and decided on the strategic nomination for former lawmaker Kim Young-sun.

Earlier, the prosecution secured a recording of President Yoon on Myung's mobile phone, saying, "I will talk to Yoon Sang-hyun one more time because he is the chairman of the mission committee."
