Actor Kang Ae-sim has made his face known around the world with season 2 of the Netflix series "Squid Game," but he said he does not plan to do SNS.

On the 7th, Kang Ae-sim met with reporters at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, at an interview commemorating the release of season 2 of "Squid Game." Kang Ae-sim played Jang Geum-ja who participated in the game to pay off the debt of her son Park Yong-sik (Yang Dong-geun) and was newly put into season 2. Season 2 of

'Squid Game' naturally received high expectations as season 1, which was released in 2021, gained popularity worldwide. At the Emmy Awards, which boasts the most authority in the U.S. broadcasting industry, leading actors Lee Jung-jae and director Hwang Dong-hyuk won the trophy, making great achievements.

The actors in season 1 have emerged as stars in the spotlight from all over the world. The actors newly added to season 2 also received explosive attention, with the number of SNS followers soaring after the release of the work, and Kang Ae-sim drew attention to the background because she did not have an agency and personal SNS.

In this regard, Kang Ae-sim laughed, saying, "It's hard for me to just watch KakaoTalk, text messages and YouTube and digest it, but I don't think I can handle SNS." "Even though I feel good about the compliment, I feel exhausted when there are comments saying 'I'm tired of it'. The harsh criticism becomes more memorable," he said honestly.

In this work, I recently met Yang Dong-geun, who worked with his son as a mother, and he installed an SNS application, but he didn't use it yet. Kang Ae-sim drew laughter by confessing, "If I get a reaction from my SNS, I don't have the ability to digest it."

Usually, actors belong to an entertainment agency and receive management management, but Kang Ae-sim does not have an agency. His nephews accompanied him to the interview on this day to help proceed with the field. His values, which prioritize theater over media acting, influenced him.

Kang Ae-sim said, "For me, theater comes first. However, if I play, I can't make money to the company, so I couldn't connect, so I just wanted to choose and do it comfortably by myself. I want to prioritize my favorite plays and do it when I get a media suggestion," he said.

He then said, "I'm so sorry that there was a play that I couldn't do because Season 2 of 'Squid Game' had to film for a long time. Previously, my weight was not large (in dramas, etc.), so I did the play at the same time. "The play is heartbreaking because you can perform delicate acting," he explained.

Season 2 of "Squid Game" was also selected by auditioning in person. Kang Ae-sim said, "I don't have a company, so the casting director I heard for the first time asked me if I could audition for the video. "I saw the script and took a video with my cell phone, and I said it was done," he said.

I couldn't believe it at first. He said, "My heart was pounding, and I couldn't believe it, thinking, 'It's not mine?' Then, it was time to do my first script reading with Yang Dong-geun, and I thought, "It's done now." At that time, we also fitted our costumes together, and it felt real," he added.

As for Yang Dong-geun, who worked with acting, he said, "It was good because we always had good chemistry. Sometimes when I'm immersed in myself, I can do it roughly in a scene where I don't film myself, but I felt that he was a great actor when I saw him acting sincerely," he praised.

"Squid Game" is now set to be released in season 3 in the first half of this year. Kang Ae-sim said, "I think the art director is amazing. I hope you all use your imagination to the fullest.
