The Constitutional Court, which is hearing the impeachment case of President Yoon Suk Yeol, has secured investigative data on emergency martial law.
The Constitutional Court said in a press briefing today (9th) that the National Police Agency, the Ministry of National Defense's prosecution team, and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office responded to the Constitutional Court's request for investigation records yesterday afternoon.
The Constitutional Court said it is difficult to confirm the specific amount and contents of the investigation record, but explained that both President Yoon and the National Assembly applied for data access.
If the claimant or respondent of the impeachment trial applies to the Constitutional Court to secure data kept by public institutions, the Constitutional Court will adopt the necessary parts and ask the agency to reply.
If the agency replies, both sides can view the records and apply as evidence of the impeachment trial, and the court ultimately decides whether to adopt them as evidence.
