2025.01.09 PM 04:55
A warehouse manager suspected of stealing 6.8 billion won in cash from a rental warehouse in downtown Seoul has admitted some of the charges in his first trial.

A, a warehouse manager in his 40s, admitted to stealing cash at the first trial held at the Seoul Eastern District Court today (9th), but claimed that he stole 4.2 billion won, contrary to the indictment.

In addition, he denied that the password was recognized by all employees of the company, so the breach of warehouse was not established.

The damaged cash owner is said to be staying abroad and working in the loan business.

Earlier, on September 12 last year, while working as an in-between manager of an unmanned warehouse, A was put on trial on charges of stealing 6.8 billion won in cash stored in the warehouse.

Police believe the stolen funds may have been related to the proceeds of the crime and have launched an internal investigation into the cash owner.
