Heo Young, head of the people's livelihood economic recovery team, also pointed out that the government praised this year's R&D budget of 29.6 trillion won as the largest ever, but it was only a 1.3% increase over the 2023 budget before the cut.
He also criticized that it is at a steady pace compared to other countries that give full support to R&D.
