The Constitutional Court says it is an independent body in relation to the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol and is making a fair judgment without being swayed by public opinion.

He stressed that he would not be affected by the so-called "withdrawal of rebellion" controversy between the National Assembly and President Yoon.

Regarding President Yoon's claim that the trial process is too fast, the Constitutional Court also said
He said the first formal hearing was scheduled on the 14th, 31 days after receiving the
case, and that it was not unusually fast.

At the same time, former presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Park Geun-hye specifically compared that the first arguments were held 18 and 25 days after the case was received, respectively.

Some in the ruling party point out that the Constitutional Court is too biased, but the Constitutional Court dismissed it as a fair process in the open trial.

In the midst of this, the Constitutional Court secured for the first time the data of emergency martial law investigations by investigative agencies such as the prosecution and the police.

It was found that the National Assembly requested the Constitutional Court to secure it instead, and included major defendants' indictments.

Ahead of the first formal hearing in the case of President Yoon's impeachment on the 14th, the Constitutional Court judges, as well as the National Assembly and the president, are expected to focus on reviewing the investigation records.
