Last year, a company employee suspected of stealing 6.8 billion won from a rental warehouse in Seoul went on trial for the first time.

The owner of the large amount, who had no job or whereabouts, was identified as a loaner staying abroad.

This is a report by reporter Choi Kyung-woo.

There are a lot of boxes piled up in the warehouse.

When I opened the box, it was full of 50,000 won bundles of money.

A bundle of cash was reported stolen from a rental warehouse in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in September last year.

The middle manager of the warehouse was identified as the culprit, and the first trial of a large employee was held in the meantime.

A, a warehouse manager in his 40s, admitted to stealing the money, but claimed that he took only 4.2 billion won, not 6.8 billion won, contrary to the prosecution's indictment.

He also refuted that the password is known to all company employees, so there is no charge of breaking into the warehouse.

However, the company emphasized in the phone call with YTN that the number was not shared with all employees, and that Mr. A had no reason to visit the warehouse.

In the meantime, B, the owner of the damage money who did not attend the trial, is said to be engaged in the loan business.Mr.

B's lawyer explained that Mr. B was found not guilty in a stock-reading fraud trial last year, but is still abroad due to mental burden.

When the prosecution asked again about Mr. B's plan to enter the country, the lawyer replied that he would encourage him to enter the country if he needed to attend.

The police believe that the damaged cash may have been related to the proceeds of the crime and have launched an internal investigation against B.
