Tickets sold 1.72 million seats during the Lunar New Year holiday, up 840,000 seats compared to last year's Lunar New Year holiday.

Korea Railroad Corporation and Korail announced that 1.72 million out of 3.33 million seats were sold as a result of ticket reservation during this year's Lunar New Year special transportation period, which was held from the 6th to the 9th, recording a 51.7% reservation rate.

Korail explained on the 27th that the designation of a temporary holiday caused the demand to be dispersed as the golden holiday continued for up to nine days from the 6th, and the reservation rate decreased compared to the previous Lunar New Year, but the number of reserved seats increased by 840,000.

The day with the most returnees was January 27, two days before the holiday, and the reservation rate for returning to Seoul was the highest on the 30th, the day after the Lunar New Year holiday.

Tickets booked must be paid by midnight on the 12th, and those with weak transportation must pay by midnight on the 15th, and tickets that have not been paid within the period will be automatically canceled and allocated to those who are waiting for a reservation.
