Twenty ferries stopped operating and 21 local roads were closed due to heavy snow in Honam and Chungcheong provinces.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, as of 6 a.m. today, 20 ferries on 14 routes, including Incheon-Baenyeong, Mokpo-Hongdo, and 21 local roads in Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do, Chungnam, and Gyeongnam, were closed due to poor weather conditions.

168 sections of eight national parks, including Mudeungsan Mountain, Jirisan Mountain, Naejangsan Mountain, and Deogyusan Mountain, were also banned.

Since the 7th, the fire authorities have completed 47 safety measures and 25 emergency falls due to the cold wave and heavy snow, and no casualties have been reported.

No flights were canceled as of 4 a.m. today, and Jeju Airport, where a number of flights were canceled due to snow and strong winds yesterday, resumed operations except for some routes.

Each airline plans to send in a temporary flight today to carry stranded passengers.
