YTN celebrates opening of new broadcast studio

YTN, the broadcasting station you are tuned into now, has marked a new beginning as it moved to a new building in Digital Media City on Seoul's western Sangam-dong street.

It started broadcasting at its new location today (Monday).

Inaugurated as the country's first news-only TV channel in 1995, YTN has grown into the country's representative 24-hour news channel.

YTN has also been broadcasting live to some 200 nations globally since 2001.

President Park Geun-hye has congratulated YTN's new opening, relaying her hope that this 'significant milestone' would lay the foundation for YTN to become a leader in the new media sector.
