In response to North Korea's claim that a South Korean drone broke into the sky over Pyongyang and distributed leaflets to the North, Russia agreed, calling it an "infringement of sovereignty and interference in domestic affairs."

Russia's foreign ministry said in a statement on the 14th local time, "This action can only be seen as a grave violation of North Korean sovereignty and a destruction of the legitimate state system of an independent state."

The Russian Foreign Ministry reported from North Korea that South Korean drones had distributed leaflets on North Korean territory, including Pyongyang, pointing out that "tensions on the Korean Peninsula have been increasing recently."

"South Korea should take North Korea's warnings very seriously and stop escalating tensions that could worsen the situation on the Korean Peninsula and lead to armed accidents with reckless provocations," he said.

"Russia will continue to play a constructive role in preventing risks from deepening on the Korean Peninsula, including on the basis of a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty signed with North Korea," he stressed.

Earlier on the 11th, North Korea's Foreign Ministry claimed that South Korea penetrated drones into Pyongyang three times and distributed leaflets to the North, threatening to "be prepared and sternly warn against the use of all aggression."

In response, Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said, "We cannot confirm whether the North Korean claim is true or not."

After a summit in Pyongyang in June, Russian President Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty and promised all-round cooperation, and suspicions of arms trade have been steadily raised.
