The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Student Human Rights Education Center recommended that running class-specific worship services or choral choirs for all students in general high schools can be seen as an infringement of religious freedom.

The center recommended that after investigating the relief application filed by a private high school student in Seoul, saying that religious freedom was violated due to the mobilization of various school events, the class god association and the choir competition did not confirm or give students a choice in advance.

In response, the school said, "As a school established according to the Christian spirit, we informed this in advance through information materials," and explained, "If you give a choice one by one in your group life, it is difficult to manage, and if there is an individual request from an uncomfortable student, you can consider library self-study."

Article 16 of the Seoul Student Human Rights Ordinance stipulates that schools cannot force students to take certain religious courses or participate in religious events.
