Kakao Entertainment will join hands with China's leading music streaming platform.
Kakao Entertainment announced today (24th) that it has signed a strategic partnership with 网易云音乐, China's leading music streaming platform, to collaborate on K-pop distribution. As a result, Kakao Entertainment will be able to introduce new songs by newly released artists to Chinese music fans as well as music libraries of various genres.
This partnership between Kakao Entertainment and Wang Yi-win Music has been a long-term partnership based on the achievements and trust that the two companies have been cooperating through music services since May. Through this partnership, Kakao Entertainment will be the first in China to introduce new music through Wang Yiyun Music, and the two companies plan to promote various business cooperation in China, including music services and various promotions linked to K-pop.
Kakao Entertainment, which has established a more stable K-pop distribution network in China, further accelerates the expansion of K-pop's global distribution network. Kakao Entertainment plans to further strengthen cooperation with major music platforms in China, including Wang Yiwin Music, as well as expand its music distribution network to North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
