K-pop stars' journey to find 'me' begins.
Today (1st) a production presentation for the KBS entertainment show "The Singer" was held at KBS in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Singers Hwasa, Sohyang, Henry, Ahn Shin-ae, Gureum, Jairo and Lee Sun-hee CP attended the scene.
"The Singer" is a musical entertainment that depicts a travelogue in which representative K-pop artists experience the music and culture of other "nations" and visit the singer "I". Hwasa, Sohyang, Henry, and Ahn Shin-ae will participate in the Majorca episode in Spain. After the Spanish episode, the German episode will be broadcast.
Earlier, actress Suzy, a former member of the group Miss A, was said to appear on the German side, making headlines. In response, CP Lee said, "I asked for an interview, and although it is not well known during the discussion, I found Suzy's passion and affection for music to be very deep," adding, "I was grateful for her willingness to appear."
"The German side shows Suzy's natural appearance. We will eat together, travel together, play music, and show you a new side of us as a musician without any addition or subtraction.
Hwasa explained earlier that the "singer of Korea" was a dramatic training for her. He said, "What's not hard? You may misunderstand, but for me, it was a good expression of dramatic training," he said.
It was nice to have such a time. In the meantime, I created a comfortable environment and sang in it. As a result, there was a feeling of stagnation. However, it was a time when I had to practice in a raw environment, sing well anywhere, and play musical instruments, which gave me another growth," he confessed.
Hwasa, who confessed that she shed a lot of tears in Spain, said, "I've never cried so much on TV. I realized that much and felt a lot, so I thought that I was good at saying that I was a singer."
The cast cited "immediateness" as the only difference between other busking entertainment shows and "singers who are me." "I've been on a lot of busking programs," Henry said. "What I really wanted to do is to walk around and play freely, but if I played only in a designated place before, I could do music freely this time. In particular, there have been more opportunities to collaborate with local superstars. I was sorry that I didn't have this opportunity before," he said.
CP Lee also said, "There was an excellent program called 'Begin Again'. Thankfully, I think a new plan like ours came out on the soil," he said.
He said, "I prepared a wireless microphone to create a different picture. It seems that there was little in the past because of the high risk of such a thing. The producer set it up with a hard time, sang while eating, and sang while dancing, and a natural vibe came out," he said.
"The Singer" premieres tomorrow (2nd) at 10:40 p.m.
