With the U.S. presidential election just five days away, celebrities are also announcing their last-minute support for the candidate.
LeBron James, dubbed the "living legend" of the National Basketball Association (NBA), posted on the 31st local time to officially support Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
"When I think about my kids and my family and how they're going to grow up, the choice is clear," LeBron James said in a statement of support.
Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican and former governor of California, also declared his support for Vice President Harris on X a day earlier, saying, "I'm always an American before I'm a Republican."
The cast of "Avengers" including Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo also encouraged Harris' support through X.
Actress Jennifer Lopez, who earlier declared her support for Harris, shared a message from Harris promising to support Puerto Rico on Instagram, targeting what she called her "garbage island" comments.
Pop star Ricky Martin and actor Rita Moreno and songwriter-actor Lin Manuel Miranda emphasized the need to support Vice President Harris in a joint New York Times article.
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who founded the financial and media company Bloomberg, also said in a Bloomberg column that he supported Harris "without hesitation" in early voting this week.
