I think artificial intelligence and AI are the keywords that penetrate the scientific community right now.
The Korean government also set the goal of launching the National Artificial Intelligence Committee and bringing together the national AI technology capabilities to become one of the top three AI powerhouses by 2027.
Developing AI technology is also important, but advice has been given that it is more important than anything else to think about how to use it and educate it.
This is reporter Park Na-yeon.

Presidential 'National Artificial Intelligence Committee' launched in September
The
government has set a goal of becoming one of the top three AI powers by 2027 through an AI committee that can bring together scattered AI technology capabilities.
Yeom Jae-ho, vice chairman of the National Artificial Intelligence Committee, appeared on YTN Science and emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence in any field.
[Yum Jae-ho / Vice Chairman of the National Artificial Intelligence Committee: Artificial intelligence surprised people when ChatGPT 3.5 came out two years ago. And as 4.0 came out and new developments continued, the idea of artificial intelligence began about 70 years ago, but it became fully full-fledged and realized.]
Vice Chairman Yeom Jae-ho said building infrastructure is paramount to becoming an AI powerhouse.
To this end, we plan to build a data computing center worth about 2 trillion won and conduct an AI-based investment worth 65 trillion won with the private sector within three years.
In addition, the AI safety research center will be launched in Pangyo in November to calm citizens' anxiety over AI safety issues.
Vice Chairman Yeom pointed out that it is urgent to enact a basic AI law that encompasses promotion and regulation in order to respond properly in the rapidly changing AI era.
[Yum Jae-ho / Vice Chairman of the National Artificial Intelligence Commission: Since the AI Basic Law is like the Constitution in AI, I think it would be good if the ruling and opposition parties agreed to pass the basic law within this year and then the subsequent legislation would be overhauled]
He emphasized technology development and related legal systems to leap forward as an AI powerhouse, but
I pointed out that we should move toward thinking about how to make the best use of our current technology.
[Yum Jae-ho / Vice Chairman of the National Artificial Intelligence Committee: We don't really need to go toward developing all AI technologies. I think it's very important to teach our students how to use AI well in education.]
Vice Chairman Yeom said that if AI technology is properly utilized, humans will never be dominated by AI, and suggested that we should move forward with AI.
Finally, he added that AI inclusion systems should also be created to prevent marginalized classes from developing technologies.
