■ Statistics Korea announces consumer price trends for October
The Office for National Statistics releases consumer price trends for October.
Earlier in September, consumer price growth fell to 1% for the first time in three and a half years. If the economic growth rate in the third quarter remains sluggish at 0.1% compared to the previous quarter and the inflation rate continues to be around 1%, further cuts in the benchmark interest rate are expected.

Woori Bank will stop selling non-face-to-face mortgage and leasehold loan products from today to strengthen household loan management.
The preferential interest rate for credit loans will also be lowered by up to 0.5%p.
