A feast of light unfolding against the backdrop of Gwangan Bridge.
80,000 fireworks, including a 400-meter-long super-large, will be embroidered on the night sea this weekend.
This year's Busan Fireworks Festival, which marks its 19th anniversary, introduces new attempts such as parachutes and text messages in addition to directing Niagara, a symbol.
In addition, the festival organizing committee explained that it has prepared a more colorful picture overall, such as expanding the fireworks shot at Gwangan Bridge.
[Park Yong-heon / Director of Busan Culture and Tourism Festival Organizing Committee: This year, more large-scale bruising fireworks will be produced using Gwangan Bridge than usual by intensively deploying the supplies that were placed on barges]
At this year's festival, Busan City expanded the paid seats from 8,000 to 14,000 in consideration of foreign tourists and domestic demand.
In addition, in anticipation of a million people, various measures have been prepared, including the deployment of 6,700 safety personnel, the expansion of emergency clinics, and the increase of urban railroads.
We plan to adjust the event to end an hour earlier than usual to induce the procession of returning home, which was crowded at once, to be dispersed to some extent, and to manage the white sand and coastal roads intensively so that the crowd does not exceed 200,000 people.
[Park Geun-rok / Director of Busan Tourism Mice: According to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security's festival manual, it is recommended that there are no more than 4 people per square meter, but our Busan Fireworks Festival has strengthened safety with less than 3 people per square meter..]
However, although the Busan Metropolitan Government is conducting a map check on accommodations and restaurants, it has not solved the problem of rip-off charges.
Cases of receiving more than four times the cost of accommodation or asking for a separate seat tax raise eyebrows again this year.
