North Korea that's changed..."Trump Will Face Kim Jong Un More Dangerous"

During the last presidential election, U.S. President-elect Trump emphasized his friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, raising the possibility of a second round of U.S.-North Korea dialogue.

However, unlike five years ago when he led the U.S.-North Korea summit, analysts say that after taking office, Trump will face a more dangerous leader Kim Jong-un.

U.S. President-elect Trump has been showing off his friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un several times during the presidential election.

During Trump's first North Korea-US summit, Chairman Kim Jong-un called first, and he managed North Korea well.

He also vowed to get along with North Korea when he returns to the White House, but analysts say that Chairman Kim Jong-un has become more difficult to deal with than in the past.

First of all, North Korea's advancement of its nuclear capabilities is a stumbling block after the second U.S.-North Korea summit 'Hanoi No Deal' in 2019.

Kim Jong-un, who led the test launch site of a new intercontinental ballistic missile capable of hitting the U.S. mainland on the 31st of last month ahead of the presidential election, has made it clear that he has no intention of giving up nuclear weapons.

North Korea may choose to cooperate with China and Russia rather than the United States as it strengthens its ties to North Korea, such as sending a large number of military troops to Russia to enter the war against Ukraine.

U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan also said Kim Jong-un will expect significant military and technical support from Russia in exchange for the deployment.

CNN reported that the second Trump administration will face a more dangerous North Korean leader due to the environment of the Yoon Suk Yeol government's hard-line North Korea policy as well as strengthening North Korea-Russia relations.

As North Korea is expected to try to negotiate with the United States on the premise of recognizing it as a nuclear power, attention is being paid to what kind of steps Trump will take.
