While Dongduk Women's University is discussing the transition to co-educational, students have occupied the main building for two days and are strongly protesting.
Dongduk Women's University's anti-engineering response committee held a press conference after occupying the main building and pointed out the need for democratic consultations between the school and students.
He then stressed that Dongduk Women's University's founding ideology is "education entry through women's education," and that the engineering transition denies this.
Students at Dongduk Women's University also said they would occupy the main building and refuse classes from yesterday (11th) if the requirements were not met.
