Singer Park Hyo-shin will release a new single "HERO" for the first time in five years. The song will be inserted as the title song of the movie 'Firefighter', which will be released on December 4.
The movie "Firefighter" depicts the situation of firefighters who were put in with a single goal of extinguishing fire and saving power despite poor conditions during the 2001 Hongje-dong fire disaster. The production team of
'Firefighter asked Park Hyo-shin to participate in the movie, delivering a sincere message that the movie wanted to convey, and Park Hyo-shin recalled a song from his new album that perfectly blends with the heavy message of 'Firefighter'.
Being so naturally involved in the project, he completed "Hero" with his deep sensibility and voice. "Hero" is a song in which Park Hyo-shin participated in all rounds, including songwriting, composition, and arrangement, as well as singing.
Park Hyo-shin and Kim In-na, who participated in the lyrics together, said, "Sacrifice is the most sublime act of love. In order to express that pure mind through music, I wanted to create a gap between emotions that are calm for the singer and dark for the listener by excluding techniques from arrangement, formality, singing, and lyrics word selection as much as possible.
The two continued, "The word sacrifice may sound solemn and grand at first glance, but the lyrics contain a simple heart for someone who is most precious to me. "Because love starts with a small heart for someone so close," he said, expressing a deep affection for the song.
"Firefighter" will be released in theaters nationwide on December 4, and the title song "Hero" will be released on major music sites in the same month.
