Earlier, the budget bill was voted on December 24 in 2022 and December 21 last year, and the National Assembly failed to meet the legal deadline properly,

This is because there is still a large difference between the ruling and opposition parties over the budget bill.

National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik first proposed a dinner meeting to discuss the budget bill this evening to both Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People's Power, and Park Chan-dae of the Democratic Party.

Earlier, the Democratic Party of Korea handled 667.4 trillion won in the government's original plan, including the "Great Whale Project" and special government activities, alone at the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.

It is also the first time in the constitutional history that the budget bill has been processed without an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties in the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and that it has passed a proposal that only applies a reduction.
