Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, stressed that President Yoon Suk Yeol will try martial law again if the situation improves, and that he should prepare more firmly than ever.
Representative Lee said at the National Assembly's emergency meeting that President Yoon appears to be in a state of difficulty in making a normal rational judgment and has no choice but to rely on force on the last path to be abandoned by the people.
The Yoon Suk Yeol regime then raised suspicions that there is a high risk of provoking North Korea to lead an armed conflict, saying it thinks it will wage a local war if the emergency martial law measures using force are deemed ineffective.
He also said, "If we lack an emergency martial law that violates human rights, we will definitely dedicate our people's lives," adding, "Let's fight with the great people and make a world where the people live as the owners of the country as soon as possible."
