Singer Lee Seung-ki told the back story of recording with Cha Eun-woo, a junior singer who participated in the 20th anniversary album of his debut.
Lee Seung-ki's 20th anniversary album "With" will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. today (4th).
Lee Seung-gi said, "I feel touched and more humble. After 20 years of doing one thing, I become more concerned and serious," he said.
He said, "When I meet seniors at weddings, most of them have been on the show," and added, "I think I did it for a long time when I met seniors who have been on the show for 50 years since their debut."
The album contains tracks reinterpreted five songs, including Lee Seung-ki's signature hits "Return," "It's My Girl," "Delete," "Hard to Say," and "Stories I Haven't Done Yet."
As for the reason for choosing the remake album, Lee Seung-gi said, "I thought it would be nice to be able to look back on my path," adding, "I wanted to reintroduce the public to what kind of singer Lee Seung-gi was before releasing the new album."
Several fellow musicians participated in the album, including singer Lin, Lee Soo, Lee Moo-jin, and singer-actor Cha Eun-woo.
In particular, he said of Cha Eun-woo, who sang "Because You're My Girl" with him, "I accidentally came to direct. He expressed satisfaction, saying, "He's a friend who absorbs quickly, so I made it in his own style and recorded it."
Finally, Lee Seung-gi said, "I aim to make good music when the public hears it," and expressed his mindset for future activities, saying, "I want to have fun for a long time, and I think it's enough if there is a place where I can be used."
