Bong Joon-ho's 'Mickey 17' is considered a 'expected movie next year' by the US media..."Finally, it's released".

Director Bong Joon-ho's new movie 'Mickey 17' has been listed on major U.S. media's list of the 'most anticipated films of 2025'.

CNN picked "Mickey 17" as one of the 11 expected films to be released next year in an article titled "2025 Movies We're Waiting for" on the 28th local time.

CNN said, "It has been six years since Bong Joon-ho, a pioneering Korean director, surprised audiences with his Oscar-winning film 'Parasite' (2019), and his follow-up 'Mickey 17' is finally released after several delays."

"This movie, starring Robert Pattinson, appears to be a science fiction comedy, but it wrestles with dark and heavy themes by depicting a consuming clone on a dangerous mission in outer space," he said.

Along with the movie, CNN has selected Marvel's Fantastic 4: First Steps, DC Universe's Superman, Jurassic World 4, How to Train Your Dragon, horror film Wolfman, Jackie Chan's Best Kid 2, Paddington in Peru, musical film Wicked Part 2, and Michael Jackson biopic Michael.

The U.S. weekly magazine Time also cited 'Mickey 17' as one of the 41 most anticipated films next year and expected, "We will finally see Bong Joon-ho's new work, which was postponed in the studio."

Hollywood magazine Variety also picked "Mickey 17" along with Marvel's "Captain America: Brave New World" and "Avatar: Fire and Ash" as expected next year.

The media introduced 'Mickey 17' as "a science fiction thriller directed by Bong Joon-ho."

Rotten Tomatoes, a site that provides various movie information along with movie ratings, introduced the list of the "most anticipated films of 2025" and put the trailer of "Mickey 17" at the top.

'Mickey 17' is based on the science fiction novel 'Mickey 7' by American author Edward Ashton, depicting the story of a clone who was put into exploring an icy space planet.

It was originally scheduled to be released in March this year. The film, which has been postponed several times, will be released in North America on March 7 next year.
