A gangster accused of helping the escape of Ado International CEO, who is accused of committing a similar reception crime worth 400 billion won, has been commuted at the appeal trial.
The Seoul Central District Court recently sentenced gangster Yang, who was handed over to trial on charges of evading criminals, to two and a half years in prison, breaking the original ruling that sentenced him to three and a half years in prison.
The court said it considered Yang's agreement with all the victims and that he had children to support.Ms.
is accused of hiding Mr. Lee, CEO of Ado International, from being arrested in August last year, and threatening the representatives of its affiliates to extort money and goods worth 630 million won.
CEO Lee was sentenced to 15 years in prison in the first trial for leading a similar reception crime worth 400 billion won from February to July last year, promising principal guarantees and profits through luxury transactions, and stealing 23 billion won in investment.
