Jeonbuk activates 'emergency phase 1' of disaster response headquarters in anticipation of heavy snow

As a lot of snow was predicted in Jeollabuk-do, Jeonbuk Province launched emergency work in the first stage of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters today (7th).

As of 9 a.m., four cities and counties, including Gochang, Buan, Sunchang, and Jeongeup, were issued a heavy snow warning, and 6.7cm of snow accumulated in Bokheung-myeon, Sunchang, and 4.4cm in Naejangsan, Jeongeup.

The heavy snow damage has not been reported yet.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted up to 40cm of snow in Jeonbuk by the day after tomorrow.
