Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon criticized the National Human Rights Commission's proposal to the plenary session to recommend the guarantee of President Yoon Suk Yeol's right to defend the impeachment trial, saying, "It has been reduced to an advocacy committee for a rebellion."

Governor Kim posted on Facebook, saying, "It is frustrating to propose an urgent agenda to guarantee the right to defend the mob of civil war after being silent about the destruction of the constitution and the declaration of martial law that limited the basic rights of the people."
