The National Police Agency's special investigation team on emergency martial law has booked Kim Joo-hyun, senior presidential secretary for civil affairs, on charges of rebellion.
On the 8th, the police called Chief Kim as a suspect accused of rebellion and investigated him.
Chief Kim is suspected of reviewing martial law-related laws with former Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min, Justice Minister Park Sung-jae, and Legal Affairs Minister Lee Wan-kyu at the presidential house in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, the day after President Yoon Suk Yeol declared emergency martial law.
Earlier, the Democratic Party accused them of rebellion.
As a result, the police have increased the number of investigators booked in the investigation of the emergency martial law to 50, including 26 party officials and 19 soldiers.
