The Ministry of Environment said it will lift or lower some of the algae warnings issued in the Nakdonggang River basin due to the recent rain and falling temperatures.

The tidal current warning in Gangjeong Goryeong Water Area, which was the second highest "alert" level among the four levels, was lifted, and Chilseo and Mulgeummari water areas, which were at the same level, were lowered to "interest."

As a result, only the Geumgang Daecheong Lake area remains in the bird warning "alert" stage across the country, and five Nakdonggang River and one Seomjingang River are showing the level of "interest."

The Environment Ministry has pledged to keep up with water management until the tide warning is completely lifted, though a continued drop in temperatures in the future will likely continue to reduce the algae overall.
