Russian and Chinese navies have conducted anti-submarine defense drills for joint patrols in the Pacific, local media reported.

Russia's Pacific Fleet said on the 8th local time that tactical warships from the Russian and Chinese navy practiced anti-submarine battles by maneuvering and forming formation together in the Pacific Northwest.

The exercise involved large Russian anti-submarine destroyers such as Admiral Panteleev and China's Xining and Wuxi destroyers, the Pacific Fleet added.

The Russian and Chinese navies began joint patrols in the Pacific Ocean after completing joint exercises last month, during which they are conducting various exercises, including anti-submarine defense and maritime rescue.
