Hezbollah confirmed that "there was no Hezbollah command in the air raid area" in connection with Israel's airstrikes on two central Beirut areas on the 10th, killing at least 22 people.

Amin Siri, a member of Hezbollah, visited the airstrike site on the 11th local time and accused Israel of targeting civilians.

Earlier, Lebanon's health ministry said at least 22 people were killed and 117 others were injured when Israeli forces struck two central Beirut areas on Thursday night.

The recent Israeli bombardment of Beirut has been concentrated in the southern suburbs, known as Hezbollah's main stronghold, and the bombing of central Beirut is unusual.

Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV said the strike targeted Hezbollah's top official, Wafiq Safa, but Safa survived the assassination attempt because he was not inside the targeted buildings.
