An incumbent police officer has been arrested again for stealing money and valuables seized during the investigation.

The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul said it arrested Sergeant Kim, a member of the Yongsan Police Department, yesterday (16th) on charges of embezzlement in business.

Sergeant Kim is accused of stealing cash stored in a warehouse after confiscating it while investigating a voice phishing crime.

Sergeant Kim was reportedly caught trying to return the money he took after a police officer was recently arrested for stealing 300 million won worth of confiscated goods from Gangnam Police Station in Seoul.

The police explained that there was no problem with the procedure for Sergeant Kim to take out the goods, and that they are investigating the name of the money and valuables.
