Small amounts of rain usually pass in November and autumn, and the Korean Peninsula has never been affected by typhoons.

As a result, Jeju Island has never had more than 200mm of rain a day in November.

Today, the daily precipitation in Jeju and Seongsan areas has been 211.1mm in Jeju and 213.4mm in Seongsan areas.

Jeju is the first heavy rain in 13 years since the observation in 2011, and Seongsan is the first heavy rain in November in 27 years since the observation in 1997.

There is no data comparison, but more rain is concentrated in the mountainous areas of Jeju, which are affected by the terrain.

So far, Jeju Azalea Field has received 260.5mm of heavy rain like midsummer.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) says Typhoon "Kong Lei" traveled along the southern coast of China at around 9 a.m. and weakened to a temperate low pressure at sea.

In the future, the rain clouds left by the typhoon are expected to affect Jeju Island and the southern coast more as they pass through the southern sea of Jeju Island in Korea.

Overnight, Jeju Island is expected to see 30 to 50 millimeters of heavy rain per hour more concentrated.

Currently, heavy rain warnings and strong wind warnings are issued on Jeju Island and mountains, and heavy rain warnings are issued on some coasts of Jeollanam-do.

The waves are rising high with a special wind warning issued around the southern sea.

A preliminary warning of strong winds is in place on the coast of Jeollanam-do and the coast of Gyeongnam.

By tomorrow morning, the mountains of Jeju Island will receive up to 250mm more of heavy rain,
The southern coast of South Gyeongsang Province, including the southern coast of South Jeolla Province and Busan, is expected to receive up to 80mm of rain.

In particular, strong winds of around 25m per second will blow on Jeju Island and the southern coast, and wild waves will be high at sea.

As rain and wind are expected to continue until tomorrow morning, please pay special attention to damage to facilities overnight.
