The chairman of a mid-sized construction company accused of hitting his wife on the head with a blunt weapon has been put on trial.
On the 30th of last month, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office indicted A, the chairman of the construction company, in his 60s, without detention on charges of special assault.
Mr. A is accused of injuring his wife by hitting her on the back of the head with a bottle of alcohol in May because he suspected that she was having an affair at home.
The victim reportedly suffered six weeks of injuries before the crime, including a fractured rib.
The prosecution also accused A of stealing his wife's laptop and looking into personal information in a digital forensics manner, and charged him with content detection such as electronic records.
