Korea, the European Union, and the EU held their first strategic dialogue and signed a 'security and defense partnership'.
Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Rousseff Borrell held the first Korea-EU Strategic Dialogue at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Seoul.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between South Korea and the EU after sharing opinions on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the international situation following military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
In addition, we adopted the 'Security and Defense Partnership' document specifying cooperation in 15 areas, including maritime security, cyber and non-proliferation, based on the results of the discussion.In a joint statement, Minister
