Seosan Police Station in Chungcheongnam-do handed over six people, including A in his 40s, to the prosecution without detention on charges of intentionally causing a traffic accident and taking hundreds of millions of insurance money.

Mr. A is accused of conspiring with insurance planners and acquaintances who run car centers for about two years and four months from 2021, intentionally causing 25 traffic accidents and receiving 130 million won in insurance money from insurance companies.

A police investigation found that they mainly used rental cars with no premium for personal insurance and deceived them as if there were several passengers.

Police said they were released several times due to insufficient evidence, but after more than a year of investigation, they were able to confirm their collusion.
