Military "Launches Multiple Short-Sleeved Ballistic Missiles Over North and East Sea"

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea around 7:30 this morning.

The military said the missile launched from the Sariwon area in North Hwanghae Province flew about 400 kilometers.

He added that the South Korean military immediately captured and monitored North Korea's missile launches, closely shared relevant information with the U.S. and Japan, and comprehensively analyzed detailed specifications.

He also stressed that he is strengthening surveillance and vigilance in preparation for further launches.
