KEPCO leaps ahead with opening five-game winning streak

Professional volleyball Korea Electric Power Corp. took the lead in the men's division with its opening five consecutive wins.

KEPCO lost two sets first against Hyundai Capital, which had won four consecutive games together, and won three sets down to win a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory.

KEPCO, however, was taken to the hospital with a knee and arm injury as Elian, who scored 24 points, won the last point of the fifth set after a series of close deuce matches.

Women's IBK Industrial Bank also defeated GS Caltex 3-2 thanks to Victoria's performance with 32 points.
