Lee Young-sook (69), the winner of the "Korean Food Battle 2" and a participant in the popular entertainment show "Black and White Cook," has been embroiled in a controversy over her default. The allegation is that he borrowed 100 million won and did not pay it back for 14 years.

According to creditor A, his father lent Lee 100 million won in April 2010. An IOU containing such information was discovered after his father died in July 2011. Mr. A asked Mr. Lee to repay it, but denied that he had borrowed it, and refused, saying that he had already paid it back with checks and cash. Accordingly, family members (wife and children), including A, filed a lawsuit for a loan (photo-judgment 1) and won.

However, Lee failed to fulfill his debt, and a long court battle ensued. As a result of YTN's acquisition and confirmation of the ruling and the real estate enforcement dividend table, there were 17 related lawsuits alone. Among them were three lawsuits for revocation of dead harm (in the case of making it difficult for creditors to enforce by reducing the debtor's total property).

Sentence 2

Mr. A said, "Lee Young-sook applied for seizure in September 2011 for the land purchased with the money borrowed from her father, and won in May of the following year. However, in June, Lee Young-sook gave part of the land to her daughter. Accordingly, a lawsuit for revocation of dead harm (judgment 2) was filed and won, and KRW 18,775,446 was allocated through auction (auction 1). The successful bidder was Lee Young-sook's daughter."

Auction 1

In addition, "There is a building (currently Nagyung mushroom) on the land, but the auction could not proceed because it was not registered, but I couldn't wait, so I decided to start the auction on March 26, 2013. Then, on the 11th of the following month, Lee Young-sook registered the preservation of ownership, and on the same day, her daughter set a leasehold right of 100 million won, and a person named Lim set a collateral security right of 80 million won. As a result, he had to file another lawsuit against his daughter and Lim to cancel the deadly act. After winning the case, he was only able to receive KRW 23,272,963 through an auction (auction 2). Again, the winning bidder was his daughter," he said.

Auction 2

"Despite winning the trial, even the auction was not easy because Lee Young-sook and her daughter did not fulfill both the court's decision to pay the defendant for litigation costs and the cancellation of ownership," A said. "In addition, she received 283,981 won for asking for dividends for auction (auction 3) held by the Credit Union." In that way, the total amount of dividends received from the three auctions was 42,332,390 won.

However, A said, "There was no voluntary repayment of 1 won, and I used this money that I had difficulty getting through the lawsuit to pay off Lee Young-sook's debt again," adding, "Lee Young-sook did not fulfill another debt, which her father also received, so she added 6 million won to pay off Lee Young-sook's debt."

Auction 3

A said, "In this situation, I was in a state of half-baked state and saw Lee Young-sook on the show in 2018. Only then did he realize that he won the 2014 "Korean Food Battle" and received 100 million won in prize money. I also found out that Lee Young-sook came out on Netflix's "Black and White Cook," and I felt ashamed to see her succeeding in business as well as appearing on various broadcasts, he said.

Mr. A recently requested the production company of "Black and White Cook" to seize and collect bonds for Mr. Lee's performance fees, and was approved by the court in January. He said, "There is no property in Lee Young-sook's name, and the business is in her daughter's name, so we have to apply for seizure of the 'Black and White Chef' fee."

Regarding the controversy over default, Lee's side said, "We were not able to properly grasp the repayment because we did not communicate well with the creditors," adding, "We are currently checking the matter through a lawyer, and if there is any remaining debt, we will be responsible for repayment."
