Premier 12 national team leaves for Taiwan for the final... "First goal of semifinals"

The baseball team, led by head coach Ryu Joong-il, left for Taiwan, where the Premier 12 will be held today (8th).

Starting with the first group match against the host country Taiwan on the 13th, the national baseball team will play five countries in turn, including Cuba and Japan.

The tournament, which marks its third anniversary following 2015 and 2019, is a national competition where the top 12 countries in baseball's world rankings face off, with the national baseball team winning and runner-up in the previous two tournaments, respectively.

Before leaving the country, Ryu said his primary goal is to pass the group stage and advance to the Tokyo Super Round, where the semifinals will face off.
