Police launch joint inspection of large fire at POSCO Pohang Steelworks

Police have launched a work to determine the cause of a large fire at POSCO Pohang Steelworks.

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency conducted a joint inspection of the Pohang Steelworks 3 Finex plant that caught fire this morning (12th).

In a closed-door inspection, police and the National Forensic Service checked the exact point of utterance, the extent of the damage, and whether the worker was negligent.

In particular, it is said to have focused on oxygen injection vents that are believed to be the cause of the fire.

Earlier at 4:20 a.m. on the 10th, a fire broke out at POSCO Pohang Steel Mill's 3 Finex plant in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and it was extinguished in five hours.
