[Gyeonggi] Disclosure of 3,126 high local tax delinquents...an average of 290 million won

Gyeonggi Province has released information on the province's website, including the names, ages and addresses of 2,204 individuals and 922 corporations who have failed to pay more than 10 million won in high-value local taxes and charges for more than a year.

The average amount of arrears is 290 million won per person, and the individual who recorded the highest amount of arrears is Kim in Yongin City, who failed to pay 10.7 billion won, including local income tax, and the highest local tax delinquent corporation is a company based in Siheung City, which did not pay 2.1 billion won.

In accordance with the Local Tax Collection Act, the province sent a preliminary notice to 4,109 delinquents in March, and 3,126 people who did not pay the arrears even after six months of clarification decided to disclose the list.

The targets of disclosure include the name, age, address, and details of arrears, including the name of the delinquent person and the name of the corporation, and were disclosed on the websites of Gyeonggi Province (gg.go.kr ) and Witax (wetax.go.kr ).
