The first trial court sentenced him to life in prison for the "live YouTuber murder in front of the court."

The Criminal Division 5 of the Busan District Court sentenced A in his 50s, who was arrested and charged with retaliatory murder, to life imprisonment and 10 years of attachment to a location-tracking electronic device.

The court explained, "If you look at the preparation process and means for the crime, it is difficult to see an apology or guilt for the victim, and it is necessary to permanently isolate him from society because he denies the purpose or planning of the crime."

Mr. A is accused of killing YouTuber B, who sued him for assault on the sidewalk across from the Busan Court building at around 9:50 a.m. on May 9.

At the time of the stabbing, victim B was broadcasting live, so screams were captured in the video as it was, and the video was deleted only after hundreds of thousands of people watched it, which became controversial.
