Members of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts belonging to the Democratic Party of Korea argued that the budget bill, which only reflected the opposition's opinion on the reduction, was processed at the plenary session of the Budget and Accounts Committee.

Heo Young, the opposition secretary of the Budget and Accounts Committee, told reporters that the only thing left in the National Assembly, which has virtually blocked the exercise of legislative power as President Yoon Suk Yeol exercised his third veto of the Special Prosecutor's Act on Kim Gun-hee, is the authority to deliberate on the budget.

He then stressed that both the ruling and opposition parties are responsible for not meeting the legal deadline after only fighting for political power, and that the Democratic Party of Korea has decided to keep the principle that it should give hope to the people through prompt budget processing as the damage is suffered by the people.

He added, "It is very regrettable that the ruling and opposition parties have not been able to deal with the budget, but I think it is very meaningful that we have cut unnecessary budgets and created room for people's livelihood budgets to save the people."
