A "Puso" program in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do, that allows teenagers to eat and sleep in the countryside and experience farming.
The 'Puso' has evolved and season 2 has begun.
A young man who has already experienced "Puso" lives in a rural area and runs this program himself.
[Ki Ki-won (27) / Gangjin 'Puso' program operator: The city is surrounded by a forest of buildings, so honestly, it's very stressful. I think I can see the countryside from a more distant perspective while looking at the nature and the scenery, rather than the city.... I hope students and people will only bring good memories when they come.]
First, the seniors who came down to the rural area and settled down prepared a fun performance wishing for a quick settlement.
The pansori "Dongpyeonje," which boasts a grand, thick, and short sound, also resonates.
It is also very welcome for neighbors that young people have settled in rural areas where vacant houses are increasing.
[Kim Hyo-gyu / Head of Yongam Village, Gangjin County, South Jeolla Province] It's a meaningful day for our village after a long time. In fact, we don't have many opportunities like this, but it's really encouraging for our town to have a young friend come to town and run a "Puso" program.
In order to increase the resident population, the local government supports some of the costs of fixing vacant houses.
[Kim Jung-min / In charge of 'Puso' in Gangjin County, South Jeolla Province: There are people from other regions who say they will run the 'Puso' program, and they named it 'Puso Onga' and created a special name for them]
Gangjin-gun plans to secure the maximum budget and increase the 'Puso Onga' to more than ten units.
