Battery fires in Pohang and Sangju, North Gyeongsang Province, one after the other

Battery fires followed in Pohang and Sangju, North Gyeongsang Province.

The Gyeongbuk Fire Department said that the ship's battery, which was being charged at an apartment in Buk-gu, Pohang, caught fire at around 1:30 p.m. today (30th) and was extinguished in 20 minutes.

In this fire, A in his 40s was taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke, and household items were burned.

Earlier at 8:20 a.m., a fire broke out in a battery charger for tools at a housing warehouse in Oenam-myeon, Sangju.

The fire was extinguished in four hours and 20 minutes, but all the warehouses were destroyed.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the fire and property damage.
